Shan and Donna,
I have seen data correctness vetted out by using a BI tool called Qlikview. It's a great in memory analytics tool that exposes a low level of data granularity when viewed in aggregate and drilled down thru by exceptions noticed along a trend. I highly recommend doing a proof of concept using Qlikview BEFORE your company invests a lot of money in other BI tools, like Business Objects, Cognos, or others. Qlikview works with just about any database or datasource and uses associative indexing (which makes it very easy to model) just make sure the common keys have the same field name in each table.
Great article.
Thanks,
Jeff
